In the following tutorial we’ll show you how easy it is to replicate the filter sweep effect Drake uses in a lot of his music. It’s sort of that underwater effect that many artists like Big Sean, The Weeknd, Party Next Door and Bryson Tiller have adopted into their sound. This is also commonly referred to as the OVO sound.

We’ll be demonstrating the Drake filter sweep technique using Logic X, however the effect can be adapted to any DAW using a standard EQ plugin.
